ThickBox triggered by comma-period in add comments field

edited February 2007 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
In posts where there are inserted more than one inline image, and the user examines one via ThickBox, subsequently typing a comma or period in the add comments field triggers the previous/next image keyboard commands for ThickBox. The comments field is ok if no images were viewed with ThickBox. The process is reset when viewing a new discussion.

ThickBox needs to disengage, I repeat disengage! ;)

Setup: Vanilla 1.0.3, Attachments 2.1, Inline Images 1.3, JQuery 1.1.1, JQThickBox 1.1.1
(I believe all the latest on these)
Browser: Firefox 1.5.0.9 (Mac)

Problem verified. u don't need to type period or comma in the comment field. After u close thickbox, and hitting period and comma triggers it. This is a bug in thickbox itself not the extension. U can try this on original thickbox page same behavior as this one. so the solution will have to come from the developer of Thickbox - Cody Lindley Issue posted on thickbox forum http://codylindley.com/thickboxforum/comments.php?DiscussionID=447
  • Just for completeness, it also doesn't matter if you click on the picture to close or hit close.

Hmmm... this might actually be desirable behavior around Halloween. Just post some scary pic in the discussion and...! ;)
  • I shall see if I can help figure out what's causing this and get the fix into the extension ASAP. Thanks guys :)
