Hi, I cant get Attachments running... I have made a folder called uploads in the root with permissons of 777 and in the Attachments Settings the path is right... Please try to add a file... http://www.investorsbull.com/comments.php?DiscussionID=1&page=1#Comment_622 What could it be? THANK YOU

  • I just registerd but won't be able to try until later when I get home.
  • upgrade to attachments v2 - that worked for me. I didnt even have to amke an upload folder
  • I have installed v2.1. is there any known compatibility issue with another extension maybe?
  • I can just tell you from what I did and what happened to me. Like I said its weird that you had to make that folder cause it didnt have to make it. I would uninstall the ext and reapply it. That is just guessing though
  • Are you using Safari? I've found that Safari and other related browsers won't upload images.
  • OMG. Yes I was using Safari. I tried FF and IE on Windows now at it works dine... OMG... It should be fixed to work with the Browser that is used by the higher 4% of the world... LOL :-) THANK YOU ALL!

    I find that whenever this statement is made it is undoubtedly due to the "script" or mechanism used by the form attempting to upload the file being not written robustly enough.
    There is no reason Safari itself won't upload an image, I must have over 200 forms in current use uploading images and files.
    They all work properly as designed. pic
