Hi I'm running a vanilla test site and there's a weird problem which I can't figure out! When a new user signs up for an account every things goes fine except the e-mail verification in which the new user never receives IF the new user e-mail is @yahoo! Otherwise, if it's @gmail or @msn the verfaction e-mail is sent and received ok. What's wrong here?! p.s.: Nothing in the SMTP host field

  • You should try with a smtp server. Probably, yahoo must the email from your forum as a forum.
  • Dino, wtf? lol.
  • @Dinoboff I tried the smtp host and I get nothing but errors meassges! What I'm trying to figure out is why only emails@yahoo.com never receive a verification e-mail?! Should I just cancel that extension and don't bother with it or there's a way to get get it to work? Thanks again
  • perhaps it gets filtered or marked as spam by yahoo. check your spam box.
  • Yes I did check the spam box thank you and there's nothing there!
  • I don't think there i nothing wrong with the extension. The mail is sent (check your mail server log) but yahoo don't accept it. Try to use correct smtp settings. Which smtp server have you tried?
  • Yahoo implement a special, non standard, SPF filtering. Many shared or multi-domain servers get filtered as spam.
    You checked it already ? It's worth a double-check.
