Preview Post - No Preview on New Discussion

edited March 2007 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
hello again,

i have a little problem with "PreviewPost".
when i start a new discussion in my forum and click
"preview" no preview is loaded.
same problem when i want to edit a post.

i think it's a special problem produced by myself,
caused by my noobish stylesheet or ajaxskills.

perhaps anybody want to have a look into my forum
to find the failure.

login to http://www.hoobert.de with test:test

thank you very much.

  • You say you're running a personal stylesheet? Does it work if you use the standard one?
  • yes, it works with the standard sheet.
  • In that case it sounds like you have some work to do with your stylesheet. Afraid I cant help much there..
  • In that case it sounds like you have some work to do with your stylesheet.

ehm.... yes that's exactly what i said in my first post.
  • the problem is that your main div has an id of 'right' instead of 'Content', causing the extension to not find it and consequently not insert the preview. you can fix this by either reverting the div's id back to 'Content', or going into the js file and changing this line:document.getElementById('Content').appendChild(obj); to this document.getElementById('right').appendChild(obj);and, slightly off topic, you might want to take a look at what your forum looks like in Opera.
  • thank you so much.
i know what it looks like in opera, IE etc. we're all firefox users on hoobert. :D
but soon there will be a redesign due to i will make all valid.

    thank you.
