If anyone else wants to try giving this a shot and letting me know if it works alright for them I'd appreciate it.

wanted to have a couple other people give it a whirl as a failsafe before adding it to the wiki. :) added it to the wiki, if anyone has any problems with it, let me know.
  • Do you know how to make the ads appear below the "Text-only mode is OFF (turn on)" part? Right now, its appearing all the way to the top and pushing the main panel options down. Thanks.
  • Becasue of the code it uses to write the ads to the panel, there's no fine-tuned control for where the ad unit falls. It can either be the way it is set up in there by default (falls in the middle of some different stuff depending on what extensions you have enabled, etc.) or all the way at the top above everything. Hopefully in a later version Mark will give us some better control over where you add things to the panel so we can control things like this better.
  • Works fine, except I see these messages printed to the screen when logging out, or disabling the extension.

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/vanilla-0.9.2-autolux/extensions/Adsense.php:150) in /var/www/vanilla-0.9.2-autolux/library/Vanilla.Session.class.php on line 35 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/vanilla-0.9.2-autolux/extensions/Adsense.php:150) in /var/www/vanilla-0.9.2-autolux/library/Vanilla.Session.class.php on line 37

Users are seeing these messages when posting comments as well. What'd I do wrong?
  • Check for any white space outside the <?php ?> tags in the extension file. The errors you are recieving are caused by content being sent before all headers have been sent. Headers are usually sent after posting information, to act as a redirect normally.
  • Makes sense, I'll check for whitespace.
  • That did it. Thanks. This will probably end up being a FAQ, if I get a few seconds today during work I'll add it to the wiki.
  • Yep, it´s not the easiest extension to use, I´ll give it a try ;)

  • The whitespace thing got me to. Thanks for the tip. Now it's working fine. Thanks, dom.
