nevermind i got it all wrong
  • *bump*
  • I've been playing around with this, trying to use my javascript skills I gained from a class I took. It's coming along fine. However, I would like a couple of other examples of special Comment formats you would like, other than the event format described above.
  • I know i could really, really benefit from this... :)

Jim, there are so many, but just off the top of my head some template suggestions (guided by existing Microformats): - Events (see above) - Blog post (title, date, summary, full article, permalink, tags) -> results in marked up post - Resume (this one is tricky, but at a minimum the name, address, contact info, portfolio URL, skills, etc.) - Job Posting (jobtitle, location, salary, skills required, description, contact information, etc.) - Location --- Mailing Address (name, address, city, state, zip, country, phone, fax) -> results in microformat marked up address WITH link to google map etc. and/or geo location --- Geo Location (long/lat) - Media --- Document Citation (title, URL, date taken, author, dimensions, tags, etc.) --- Picture (title, URL, date taken, author, dimensions, tags, etc.) --- Movie (title, URL, date taken, author, copyright, duration, dimensions, tags, etc.) - Reviews, etc. --- Book Review (title, author, ISBN, URL to cover image, URL to amazon, rating, short review, long review, cost) --- Movie Review (title, director, cast, URL to IMDB, rating, short review, long review) --- Gadget Review (brand, model, title, description, features, short review, long review) --- Site Review (title, URL, description) --- Add On Posting Check out existing Microformat descriptions on http://microformats.org/ (hReview, hCalendar, hCard, rel-tag etc.) and this cool little cheat sheet http://suda.co.uk/projects/microformats/cheatsheet/microformats.cheatsheet.pdf
  • TomTester: Thanks. I just needed a couple of more ideas. I can work on a couple more now based upon your input.
  • Great! I'm totally psyched someone is willing to give this a try Jim!
  • how it coming? :)
  • I do have something that works, but then I was distracted by something else. Let me check it today a little more. Whisper me your email, if you want to test it.
  • Jim, came across this thing today: http://structuredblogging.org/ (not exactly what I had envisioned originally, but it could be useful if this was to become popular)
