Discussion preview on mouseover

I did a search and saw there were some similar questions, but not one that involved showing a preview on a mouseover. Ive noticed a lot of interesting extensions comming out with previews in it (thickbox for example). and was wondering if any had, or would consider creating an extension that would show a preview of the first post in the thread when mousing over the link to take one from the discussion list to the discussion itself. a few of my members have requested something like this. I'd be happy to beta test and provide feedback during creation if anyone is interested in doing this. I wish I could do it myself, but I have absolutely no programming knowledge.

    Look at the DiscussionExcerpt extension. I made a mod to this to do what you want, I think. You can see it on my forum.

    thats not exactly what I meant. I dont want any text displayed on the page, id rather it just be displayed like it was an alt tag in a link.
