Phantom Extension

edited March 2007 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
I had installed an extension months ago called ShoutBox, I didn't like it so I deactivated it.

Going through my redundant extensions, I deleted all the ones I have rejected but ShoutBox is still in the Settings/Extensions list in an inactive state.

I can't find the extension to physically delete it, it's not in the extensions folder, neither is it listed in conf/extensions.php

Where else could it be? I want to exterminate the blessed sucker!

That's insane. I don't know how that could possibly be. Are you sure the extension folder hasn't been marked as hidden on your server?

You could try enabling it and then looking in the conf/extensions.php file to see what path it chose to link to the default.php file.
  • False alarm folks, the creator of the extension ShoutBox in his wisdom (not) decided to name the enclosing directory Chatter. pic

I was of course looking at S in the alphabetical listing on the server, which is nowhere near C. pic

    Apologies for the confusion. pic
