Quotations Extension with Textile & BBCode

edited March 2007 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
We're using these two markup engines at our forum (textile and bbcode). The output of the extension is configured to be BBCode, as this is an extension for our novice-to-intermediate users who use BBCode most of the time. However, there's one problem. If a bbcode-user tries to quote a posting which was created with textile, the extension translates the <p>-Tags within the posting into BBCode [p]-Tags. As the BBCode parser doesn't know what to do with these, I asked myself if it's possible to adjust the Quotation Extension so that it strips out these tags. I already tried to make some changes within "quote.js" but I failed. Is someone here who can give me some help on this?
