My @*!#%$ RSS Feed

I just tried to add the rss feed to my forum - to my feed reader and when I entered the same username and password (used for my forum) I get nothing (unable to add the feed to my reader). Anyone know how to remedy this?

    I'm sorry to say that there is no remedy. There's a number of discussions on this board about this, but no solution of which I'm aware. One of the comments on one of these threads discussions alludes to some work around by which one can somehow generate a key but offers no further explanation.

    This is one of my personal most desperately needed fixes for Vanilla. I'd even settle for e-mail notification, but that extension barely works either, as far as I know.

    I've said it before, I'll say it again - if anyone wants to take over the RSS extension and make modifications to it - they are welcome to.

    I'd be glad to try something for authenticated feeds, but I don't know where to begin. If you want to help me, wave your hand high.

    @Chris, was your 'key generation' thing seen in this discussion?
