Any decent forums that use ASP out there?

Preferably one as close to Vanilla as possible ;-)

Failing that, I may have to pester Mini yet again to help me out with some separate hosting for my mate who's creating a site in ASP! ;o

  • Cant provide ASP hosting quite yet I'm afraid Nick. It's on its way though depending what your timescale is :P Or you could go dedicated :)
  • Community server is a good package, (used by CNet, extremetech, and woot.com) but I don't believe its open source.

    Second the motion for bttlxe
  • CommunityServer is really expensive for an individual https://store.telligent.com/FamilyProducts.aspx?id=1 Funny how hard it is to find wiki's, blogs, cms' and Forums written in ASP and be free as well
  • Ahh, that is indeed very expensive, basically the site's going to be for a non profit organisation so needs to be made around the tightest budget possible.

Thanks Mini, I wasn't suggesting you did ASP hosting though, more he may consider running it on a separate server; i.e. the website on some ASP hosting, and a Vanilla forum on your hosting.

That reminds me, anyone know of any good ASP hosts?
  • Ahh right. Yeah that could work. And ASP hosting is ready to be deployed as soon as a server's found to put it on. Otherwise I guess the usual crew...1and1 etc.
