What Extensions is this forum using?

edited March 2007 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
Any chance someone can list for me what extenions *this* Lussumo Community forum is using?

Comments

  • Man i just spent 5 minutes digging through searches for that list!
  • Thanks Mark! Sorry I didn't find that on my own first.
  • Mark, what about adding the "Pimped" (bloody awful name) extension here so people can jus click instead of asking? I edited it to say "Installed Extensions" instead of "Installed Bling" (gah!).

Played Mark ;) Actually, you know what, that extension's due an update, so the extension names link directly to the correct extension page on the new site :)
  • Hmmm... isn't showing the full add-on list (here or elsewhere) dangerous?

All that exposed bling could give nefarious peeps/script kiddies info on
creating an attack vector... (a little like wearing exposed bling in the NYC
subway while p*ssfaced, after 2AM on a Tue. night)

By the way, I prefer bling over pimped. Bling is expression of wealth,
whereas Pimped somehow implies hiding the truth... (think of MTV's car
pimping series, surface looks good but the underlying structure is rotten)
  • The potential of someone using an extension exploit didn't get past me. IMHO, where this gets dangerous is when they appear in search engine results. This easily allows a script to search and get a list of targets, which is why that listing only works if you are signed in. I really should update that extension. But since its one of my first I don't fully understand the code. (borrowed from Vanilla itself, along with one of Jazzman's extensions) Hate the pimped/bling metaphor also... but its cute in a strange way.

speaking of extension exploits, you might want to upgrade the html formatter to 2.0.4, mark. sorry to bug you about it... :-/

    @SirNot/Mark - I rest my case ;-)

Actually, perhaps a good upgrade to da Bling/Pimp-Nilla add-on: show add-on names only, hide actual version numbers...(?)
Would solve (part) of the Search Engine issue, not SirNot? While we're at it, let's the vanilla version number an image too.
  • I like the idea of losing version numbers for that extension, and the vanilla tagline thing :)
  • OK, version numbers nixed when I rewrite it.

Okay - updated all of my outdated extensions (thanks, SirNot :) and I also removed the versions from that pimped extension.
