Quick note:
Zotero, a kick-*ss research tool that installs as a plug-in for FireFox is using vanilla for its support
forums with an interesting minimalist theme. http://forums.zotero.org/discussions/

  • Personal preference - I really dislike the red on yellow used on their main discussions page. It just doesn't do it for me. Also, there appears to be no organisation of the information displayed on the same page, perhaps because of the vile colour combination... Like the whole minimal thing on the comments INSIDE the discussions though :)
  • Nice theme, but the discussion list is such a mess... I agree with Stash. A little bottom border to separate discussions wouldn't hurt.
  • Oh I agree, but at least it's not a standard theme... I'd love to see some new minimalist
themes, like designateonline.com, but a little more 'developed'/balance. MiniVaniliiii

DesignateOnline is freaking great. I'm quite impressed with the pure minimalism they managed to develop. No avatar, no image, no color, no panel... They keep arguing all the time about the tiniest detail. However, at this scale, anything tiny has such an impact on the whole design it can change everything.

    Minivanilli looks pretty cool too...

I think I'll start my own minimal theme in a few weeks.
