CSS Help??

edited April 2007 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
Hi, I recently installed vanilla on a site that I am building for a client. The site worked fine before I installed Vanilla (V 1.1.2). I think I am having problems with my CSS but can not figure out what that would be since it did work before. (please keep in mind that I haven't been working with CSS for a very long time and am still learning.) The site address is http://www.virtualpercussionforum.com. The problem is that I have a background image, and a logo image not showing up in my header when they were there before. I am far from finished with the site but am trying to figure out this issue as soon as possible as it is bothering me. Any input would be appreciated. So thanks in advance, I look forward to reading your comments.

  • It gives a 404 error for the inbeta.gif file. Is that one of the ones not showing? Also, do you have a custom style?
  • Yes, that is oneo f the missing files. And I have a custom theme on the forum section that I got from the Vanilla extras. The rest of the site is my own design.
  • If you right-click on the header and select 'view background image', (in FF) you get the message that it can't be displayed because it contains errors. Your images may have been corrupted during upload (ASCII vs. Binary upload perhaps?)
  • One thing that could be a problem is that the vanilla.css has changed. Your theme/style was based on the old version. There might be a subtle change that is causing the issue. Just a thought.
  • I fixed it. Thanks WallPhone. I was uploading using ASCII insterad of Binary. Something easy for me to overlook since I was worrying about every other more difficult reason that may have been causing this. But thanks again for the suggestions.
