Discussion Thread Moderation: Split/Move Comments to Correct Forum
Greetings all,
I'm just wondering if perhaps I am overlooking something... I need to split/move random comments to a correct forum... much like the Moderator Panel type functionality of phpbb, I guess.
Scenario: Member1 posts an introduction in an Introduce-Yourself type forum. Because the default view in Vanilla is Discussions not Categories, Members 2-999million (grrrr!) are posting their personal introductions as comments under Member 1's thread, thereby completely hijacking any hope of a real discussion happening for Member 1. (counseling group - comprehendable discussions are vital)
So, in this scenario, Each ill-placed comment needs to be 1) split off Member 1's discussion to now become a Discussion Topic and 2) moved to the appropriate category, if neccessary.
Is there something I am overlooking in the administration area? Or does this not yet exist? Any insight / feedback would be MOST appreciated! I think I've searched until my eyes ache, and finally decided I should ask...
Thanks so much, in advance,
Dr. W

most likely you're going to be stuck hiding the out of place comments, and having users create new threads
Oh boy...
Thanks for the info.! Not what I wanted to find out, of course (lol) but I sure appreciate the quick response
Surely, there's some sort of work-around... (shooting the bat-signal out of the office window)
Blessings!

I just found this add-on, I hope you can find it useful: ModTools
I haven't installed it yet, but I hope it will work.
