Discussions from certain categories don't appear on discusionpage

edited April 2007 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
Hey...

I've now a problem, which I intended with the DiscussionPage extension. I've a few categories...

All categoreis wer empty, and I added discussions and comments in the first categorie... DiscussionPage displayed them like it should do it...

But from one day to the other (i can't say, what I've done), all categories ware displayed as empty on the discussion page.

After adding discussions to the second categorie, only the discussion from this caztegory appered, but not the ones, frmo the first category...

I first thought, that the DiscussionPage extension goes wrong, but after disableing it ONLY the discussions from the other categories were displayed in the list, and not the ones, from the first... Is there anything, I changed insed the first category? I'm admin, and normally fully allowed, to view them...

Clicking on the category works as well, so there are all comments... but the discussion main pagehagsn, like I said..

Any Idea?

Comments

  • Did you happen to block that category? Look at the categories tab and see if it says blocked or has a white background.
  • no, it isn't blocked at the moment... If I remeber rightly, I've blocked it for 1 minute, to test the blocking function, but unblocked it a few minutes after...

If I block another category, the discussions disappear from the mainpage, and after unblocking, they return... but the ones, from the first don't want to come

    -.-

    Further hints?
  • *bump* no ideas???
  • Have you looked at the database content?
  • you have dojo files installed right? is the missing category the one selected as File Host Category?

Yessss Mr Do.. You're right... argh...
  • sorry about messing up ur forum by default. not sure what to do to make it non-destructive as default. As it is (and I forsee it to stay) it requires some input at some stage during install
  • yes, but at the moment, I've simply commented out the discussion hider... works fine :-D
