problems with comment deletion, extensions, whispers... etc

hello there! i've been searching the forum for solution to my problem, but i can't seem to find anything relevant. it all started after i updated to 1.1.1, and subsequently 1.1.2 a day after. i can't delete comments, enable/disable extensions, and the latest thing i observed is i can't view whispers sent to me. the error for whispers problem is: Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/webspeek/public_html/smkbs/v2/library/Vanilla/Vanilla.Functions.php on line 30 for the extensions problem, the error was something about authenticating post information. the comment deletion doesn't show an error, but the comments that i am attempting to delete just remains there even after confirming the deletion.

    any ideas? :P i tried reuploading all the files, but it doesnt work :(

    have you checked for the writable files/folders? Vanilla needs to be able to write settings.php and extensions.php in the conf folder.
