A theme I began before Vanilla 1, but never got round to finishing.

Hey everyone, it's been quite a while since I last contributed to this community, hope everyone is doing well.

Quite a while ago I began a theme for Vanilla, a very very simple theme that I never got round to finishing and wondered if anyone would be interested in seeing in completed. It's was basically intended as a blank canvas for people to style as there own. There is quite a bit missing, like the sidebar but what I have so far can be viewed is the front page and an example discussion. If anyone would like to see it completed I will try and set some time aside to work on it.

  • I like the start of your theme so far. Maybe you could make it more different than the others by putting the panel/sidebar at the bottom in 2 or 3 columns. Just a thought.
  • nice start One thing. The colors should be such that the eyes are drawn to the content. The edit and block user color is too prominent. it draws the eyes towards them rather than the content.

@jimw Minimalistica theme is anything but minimal :) the panel can be really long depending on which extensions ur installing. It will be tedious to have them all work perfectly in 2 or 3 columns. If u want to still give it a try. Read up on Multi Column Lists by ALA http://www.alistapart.com/articles/multicolumnlists/ Plus u will require some javascript to add the required classes and ids to the panel list to make it all work. Btw people who want some panel stuff in the bottom. use Nuggets and add them in the footer.
  • Thanks for you input, your right Schizo the edit and block user buttons are too prominent, I will have a play with it over the weekend and see what I can do.
