Google Maps Extensions

edited May 2007 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
I've installed both of the Google maps extensions and neither one of them renders the actual map when turned on. I've created my own API and pasted it in the correct field for both extensions, and I'm getting the same result with each of them. Anyone know what's going on? I've just done this tonight so I'm using the latest versions.

  • Do you mean you've generated the map API key from Google? Did you do it for the base URL, like: http://yourdomain.com? Or for a specific directory? Are you getting any JavaScript errors? Are you using the default Vanilla theme? Do you have a URL to see this?
  • Sorry, yes, I generated the map API from Google. I did if for the root domain (http://www.orphansgang.com) and, when that didn't work, for the forum directory (http://www.orphansgang.com/forum). Using the default Vanilla theme. I am getting one JavaScript error with extension.php: getMap is not defined onload(load )
  • Looks like you are getting the map to show. If you are still having issues, I believe the extension still has some problems which need to ironed out.
  • Yeah. It was my bad. I had the extension directory set as Google_Maps_Extensions rather than GoogleMapExtesions. The map is showing now, but I'm still unable to use it correctly.
