Are There "User Help" Pages?

edited May 2007 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
While use of Vanilla may seem "obvious to the casual observer", there are some folks who might be befuddled when presented with the sign-up, discussion, and other pages within Vanilla. I browsed all the extensions, and found nothing that seemed appropriate, so how does one provide "user help" pages without creating a non-upgradable kludge? Yes, one can click on "Documentation" in the Vanilla credits section of the sidebar, and navigate to the vanilla "users" section of the wiki: http://lussumo.com/docs/doku.php?id=vanilla:users ...but I was hoping for a more obvious way to get some help, rather like the "FAQs" tab on this forum. Any hints?

  • I believe the page manager can link a tab to any URL you decide. Then you could link it directly to the users section in the wiki.
  • If you want something to point your users to, http://getvanilla.com/ has videos on how to post/edit discussions, post/edit comments, searching, and account management.
