After 1.1.2 Upgrade, cannot load new extensions

edited May 2007 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
I just performed the upgrade on my 1.03 deployment of Vanilla (which worked flawlessly), but I cannot load new Extensions. They show up of course, but when you click the checkbox to enable them, you get a few popup errors. They are: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1st popup ------------------------- Pop Title: The page at http://www(mywebsitename).com says: Content of popup; param: 'DiscussionHeading' (the param is the name of the extension, and I have tried a dozen+ and they all fail) 2nd popup ------------------------- Pop Title: The page at http://www(mywebsitename).com says: Content of popup; response: 'There was a problem authenticating your post information.' 3rd popup ------------------------- Pop Title: The page at http://www(mywebsitename).com says: Content of popup; Failed to modify extension ----------------------------------------- Any ideas?

have you integrated with wordpress? if so, you may need to make alterations to People.Class.WordpressAuthenticator.php

    either way, try these links

Well this is embarrassing. I loaded it up in IE (was using Firefox) and it worked instantly. Cleared the Firefox cache and WAMMO! So, apparently when you upgrade you need to clear Firefox cache? Kind of annoying but I guess I can deal with that ... and this is not just me, quite a few other people have the same issue. I thought cache was based on page revisions, so couldn't you have the site look liek a new rev to the browser so it doesn't use cached files?

I think Browser caches work in different ways. Whenever performing any changes or upgrades it's always worth trying a hard-refresh / cache removal if you're experiencing any issues.
