Is there a way to eliminate Phantom Users

I'm really curious to know, I hate seeing ten at a time logged on...

    I think these are search engine bots, I have had up to 10 or so at a time as well but they are not on for very long.
    If you want to rank in the search engine lists I suppose this is the price.

    You can just choose not to show the phantom count though, right?

    Wouldn't a search enginge be shown as "guest"? Phantom users are people who are logged in, but for some reason don't want to appear in the "who's online" list.

    Oh that's true.

    You'd have to modify the Who's Online extension, and either change it so it doesn't display the line with phantom users at all, or remove the ability for users to hide themselves from the list.
