Deleting discussions and/or comments

As the administrator of my forum, http://www.scribbleclick.org/Vanilla-1.1.2/, how do I fix the problem this error message points out? And is there a way to delete a comment or a started discussion if I'm the one who typed it?

    Looks like one of your library files has been corrupted - try re-uploading the library folder. You can delete a discussion using an extension. Deleting it using the built in function will remove it from display but it will stay in the database.

    Do I need to download an extension that specifically allows deleting discussions? If not how do I do that - in the index.php file? And if there is one I can download, do you recommend one? Thanks!

    Well if you just want to hide it from view (which is recommeded for various reasons) then all you need to do is log into the forum as administrator and click 'delete' on the first comment of a discussion.'
