How to Link to Website Homepage + Change Title Color

edited July 2007 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
Please can you tell me which vanilla file(s) I can edit to have a link to my website folders on every page of vanilla? Those folders are blending, juicing etc at eatsprouts.com. I've installed vanilla into eatsprouts.com/forum For instance at these forums there's the same set of links at top of every page, before the tabs, viz: Swell Blog | Documentation | Community | Get Vanilla | Vanilla Add-ons I've searched these forums and can't find answer. I did find I could add a tab to the homepage of my website via the Page Manager add-on. Also I'd like to change the title color on every page, same way "Community" here is different color. Thanks, Val

  • There are several add-ons that will help you place "things" on different parts of the page. If you are a newbie here, I would suggest familiarizing yourself with the add-ons by scrolling through all of them to see what each does. The Nuggets add-on will do what you want or Banner or Stuff Displayer. The vanilla.css file is where you would change the way things are displayed.
  • The thing at the top of this forum is added using the 'banner' extension - code for which is somewhere in the documentation wiki but I cant find where. I assume there is also the possibility of doing it using the 'nuggets' extension which is probably your best shot. As for changing the colour of things, that's all css. I think if you just want it orange (on the default stylesheet) you just need to put h2 tags round it.
  • The banner thing can be found here.
  • Thanks million for your quick replies - deeply appreciated - Val
