My webhost is being very silly and for some reason restricts the external connections made by scripts from my website. It's for security reasons, so i suppose it makes sense. I need to request them to allow connections to a particular domain from a specified script. Can someone please tell me which domain the Update Extensions script connects to to check for newer versions and which script/page makes the request? Many Thanks!

the script is ajax/updatecheck.php and it checks http://lussumo.com/updatecheck/default.php

One more thing.... My dumb hosts are asking for the port that's used to make the connection! (Am i right in thinking that its a blindingly obvious "port" thats used for php connections?) I vaguely remember something about this before but can't remember what it is. Can someone please let me know..... Thanks

Port 80, and if they ask, it uses an HTTP connection.
