sign-in problems

when i sign in to the forum using the admin user and pass i have set, it proceeds to the "You are singed in" page... but then when I click on any of the options "click here to continue to..." it returns to the main forum page and says i am not logged in. I have tried the sticky the mark posted and this does not correct it. help!

    so i reset the entire installation so that my cookies are now set for the forum directory. now the admin pass that i set in the installation process will not work. anybody have any suggestions?

    I'm having much the same problems - it's all about the cook path, if that's any help keep an eye out for the www - that's the root my errors my be worth posting more information as to how you've got your application set up.

    You may need to send a 'forgot password' request to reset the password, or set it manually in the database. As far as the sign in issue--you might want to try what was suggested to conradslater here: http://lussumo.com/community/discussion/6851/www-cookie-issue-help-request/ Also, do you happen to be running IIS?

    wow i am an idiot i had read all those posts a million times and thought i tried everything. i was forgetting to leave the dot "." in front of my domain. thanks for the help guys sorry for the redundant posts
