Moving a Discussion

Is there any way to move a discussion from one Category to another?

if you're an admin, you can edit the first post in the discussion.

Is there a way to make the forum default to the Categories tab instead of the discussions tab? I think what my problem is, most people are posting new discussions and don't think to look for the right category to put it in.
