Lite-CMS advice needed

edited September 2007 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
I maintain a lot of my client's websites. So, I don't need to install a CMS on every site. However, every once in a while, a client comes in that wants to update their own content. Which is nice and easy to make happen. I've used sNews and Wordpress, amongst others. However, lately - we've been getting clients who want to update just one part of their website. Not even the whole page, but one area of a page. Sometimes its to add news articles. Other times its just to change expiration dates on offers. Snippetmaster Pro allows me to create a snippet around the area I want to make editable, such as: <snippet><p>Hello</p></snippet> Is there any other programs out there that will allow you to do such things, even for news articles? So they only have access to the area I allow them access. That way I don't have to put a whole website into a big CMS like Wordpress, especially if its only one part of a single page?

  • You would probably be better off making a custom app to do that, especially if it is something you are doing more and more. (Not good though if it is something you cant do). I have no ideas other than that, sorry.
