Framework.Control.Head, AddScript check for duplicate

I'm just wondering if Framework.Control.Head->AddScript(), and possibly ->AddStyleSheet(), should check to see if the script or stylesheet your trying to add has been added already? Needing prototype and scriptaculous for an extension and including them twice would be senseless, of course you could always check to see if it has been added manually, but i think maybe those functions should force one include per file.
