wordpress mu/ vanilla integration: same procedure?

i have a working vanilla/wordpress site and i'm thinking of upgrading wordpress to MU. does anyone know of any problems or complications? i'm assuming the WP and WPMU databases are very similar..

    No experience of this, but it will be interesting to know the outcome. When you do this, if you could post any updates to the guidelines that Mark wrote (if needed) that would be really helpful :)
