Comment overview - last 24 hours

I have tried setting this up - but my coding isn't very efficient and it take a long time to load. Basically, I would like users to see all categories - thread names and the first 10 words on all comments in that thread which have occurred in the last 24 hours or last 3 hours, etc. Similar to how discusware handles it: http://www.wakeworld.com/cgi-bin/Discus4/search.cgi?method=last&number=1&units=1440&tree=ON&where=all Thanks in advance!!!!

There is the Latest Topic add-on and the Latest Discussions Prime add-on that might help you. I also have modified the Latest Discussions Prime add-on to do a few more things but have never published it, ig you are interested.
