  • @Mini: in the international preference pane, leftmost tab, you'll find a scrolling list of keyboard layout (most have colored flags) AND 3 utilities with grey icons, just check the keyboard viewer and you'll have it handy when looking for unusual characters.
BTW, did you ever click once on the "Help" menu item ? ;-)
  • sorry, forgot to add:

    /sarcasm

For any other app, even the Finder, I can replace it with an alternative and not use Apple's solution. But not the Dock. It always has to be somewhere, popping up when I least expect it, annoying me with bouncing icons. It's somehow tied to the desktop (last I checked), so brute removal kills other (unrelated) functions. Leopard only complicates the visual problems. Not to mention there are better solutions out there.

I am looking forward to Leopard, but I don't have the feeling it will be the OS advance it could or should be. Apple is welcome to prove me wrong. :)
  • like i said before iTs Alt 3 not shift 3
  • You did yeah, i must have skipped over that, thanks MSB (and thanks Max too. I didnt check the help sorry).
