Block categories by default or always?

Hi gr8 ppl overhere. I really badly need to know is there a way to block posts from certain categories from appearing on front page? I tried to use "Category Hider" code snippet by wallphone, but it hides posts in that category as well, and I need it to hide only from frontpage. Thank you in advance.

    There are two places in the code that you need to put the category IDs... the one near the end of the line that begins with 'if' keeps them from getting blocked when going to the category directly.

    P.S. just anyone else will need it:

    There are two array('X' 'X') s there, you should change both of them.


    Say, Wallphone, why dont you pack that up and put in extensions? it would make nice addition, very usefull plugin.
