Alternate MySQL Port

Vanilla looks really great, but I'm unable to install it because the mysql server doesn't run on port 3306 and I can't find a way to specify an alternate. I tried localhost,3310 which is how mysql_connect() accepts alternate ports but that didn't work for some reason. Does anyone know a way to solve this problem? I wasn't able to find any similar posts when searching the forum. Thanks!

OK, I'm a dope. I thought that was the MSSQL syntax so I guess I never tried it. That works fine. Sorry for the bother but thanks for the help!

That's the standard TCP Practice so it should work in most situations :)
