a good extention could be the rss importer like the one used for pligg http://www.google.com/search?num=100&q=rss+importer+pligg

    not sure what you mean, I tried to check pligg and I wasn't clever of that, can you post some working example?

    what about Feed Reader extension? if it doesn't do what you need, it could be good starting point for extension of your needs
