error max user

Hi,
I've got this message when i try to access to my forum :
"The error occurred on or near: User xxx has already more than 'max_user_connections' active connections"
Don't understand what it is !!

    It's probably a problem with your database. You should find it goes away fairly quickly. If it happens regularly you need to contact your host.

    My provider told me it is a question of "mysql_close", but, if it's right, where should I look for ??
