Multiple Categories per discussion?

Does anyone else find themselves yearning to post a discussion under multiple categories? I guess having a feature like this would be similar to using tags to categorize discussions. Either way I think it would be an awesome feature to consider. Maybe? Maybe not?

    This would only make sense if they were "shortcuts" to the original. Otherwise, it would make a mess of things and kill discussions. If someone could make it so that they were shortcuts to an original, that would be a really cool extension.

    Although, the home page overview (discussions) kind of illuminates the need. I'm assuming you would only want to post in multiple categories to get attention, yes? Anyways, it would still be a cool extension.

    I think what would best suit this is a category which bleeds all of it's discussions into all other categories on the forum. Otherwise discussions which admins can start that appear under both categories and within all discussions.

    I guess I was had the tagging mentality when I thought of his idea. Now that I think of it, submitting dicussions to multiple categories would be redundant.
