How to move a discussion to a new category?

This seems like it should be a simple task, but I can't work out how to do it, can anyone help? I sometimes get some discussions that need to be moved to a category with a more restricted user group.

    If you edit the original comment, the option to select/change the category should appear. Is that not happening? Maybe the problem is that the discussion author doesn't have permission to post in the more restrictive group?

    Oh, that sounds entirely likely. Thanks very much timfire: we've only just started really using Categories in any serious way and I clearly haven't quite got my head round it yet.
