Is Vanilla alive and well?

Hello all, I am considering switching my forum to Vanilla. I just wanted to make sure that there are no plans to drop Vanilla or to make it a paid product. I noticed it hasn't been updated in a while, I hope the author isn't loosing interest. Thanks!

    I'm no coder, but I get the impression that Vanilla is very much alive and well.

    AFAIK Mark (the core coder) is working on Vanilla 2 and the community is very active publishing new extensions every while and asking for new features, so (i hope too) Vanilla is alive and well!!
