Edit link not showing up in posts

Edit: never mind. It's working now, although I swear blind it hasn't been until now. Oh well. If a mod is about, feel free to delete this thread. I've started installing Vanilla for a band website. I did a test install on my own site at http://reverttosaved.com/talk/ and it all works as expected. However, on http://www.pinkflag.com/talk/ the edit links don't show up next to user posts. In the HTML, the relevant span elements only show a non-breaking space as their content, rather than <a href="http://[domain]/path/post.php?CommentID=n">edit</a> Both boards are hosted on GoDaddy, and both were set up in the same way. For the Pinkflag one, I've also reverted back to the default theme, but that hasn't made any difference. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? If not, is it possible to reinstall the forum, but keep the data already there (posts, users)? I guess if so I could just re-add the theme I created later. Any help would be much appreciated.

  • You should expand, and tell how you solved the error, so others who search will see what you did. If you got your solution from another thread, post a link to it.
  • That's the problem—I honestly don't know. One minute, the links weren't working, and the next they were. The only thing I can think of that I did was switch back to the original theme, make a new post with a 'test' non-admin account, switch to my revised theme, and then the links were showing up. I didn't amend any CSS, and this was happening across Safari, Firefox and Opera. Very odd.
