Embedding You Tube Video

edited September 2008 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
I am new to web dev work so please be kind to me...

I am using FCKeditor and following their instructions, but I get the following error when I click 'Start your discussion':

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /homepages/10/d89472829/htdocs/forum/extensions/Vote/default.php on line 38

Feed code is:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipDkgDltSSM

Any pointers?

It's a problem, conflict maybe, with your Vote extension.

Get rid of FCKeditor first and try again.

Failing that, disable the Vote extension and try that.

Edit: Funny feed, it's about food!
  • Damn, I always figure it out shortly after I post a query!

    Ignore my last!

  • Thanks Wanderer, but I figured it out - I should RTFM more!

I am starting a community cookery website at icooks.org.uk - hence the food vid.

  • I have a peculiar problem. I installed the JQuery and JQmedia extensions and was able to embed videos. Now, all I get to when I post one is the URL but the old ones still work. Does anyone experience a similar problem? Can anyone help me with this?
  • I am on Vanilla 1.1.4 and I'm using the MakeItSimpleTextFormatter and it works great to embed youtube video and images.
