Blank Page After Install at People.PHP

edited June 2008 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
Hello All, I have been trying to install Vanilla for a while now. Finally got the right password to create a database user so I could finish the install, followed all the right steps, (I thought) and got a blank screen. Went back and deleted all files and directories associated with Vanilla, re-installed, and get a message that I already have Vanilla installed. Created a new database, started over again, and this time completed all installation steps to get: a blank screen. at people.php so, what do I do? This seems like it should be so simple, but it just isn't. I found some references to blank screens searching the forums, but no real answers.

  • Here is where it is supposed to be: http://www.tacomamama.com/eattacoma/Vanilla-1.1.4/people.php as you can see, just a blank screen.
  • Check your server's error log--it's probably filled with messages that the server doesn't want to display outright.
  • Here's the most recent error, which repeats several times: PHP Fatal error: Class control: Cannot inherit from undefined class delegation in /var/www/vhosts/TACOMAMAMA.COM/httpdocs/eattacoma/Vanilla-1.1.4/library/Framework/Framework.Class.Database.php on line 26
  • An earlier error, don't know if it's the cause but there's definitely a typo: /var/www/vhosts/TACOMAMAMA.COM/httpdocs/eattacoma/Vanilla-1.1.4/catergories.php' not found or unable to stat [client 70.187.11.140] script '/var/www/vhosts/TACOMAMAMA.COM/httpdocs/eattacoma/Vanilla-1.1.4/catergory.php' not found or unable to stat well, that would be "categories" not "catergories" but I'm not sure where to find the actual typo.
  • That typo would be my fault--I poked around trying different files to see if any worked. For that delegation error, try re-uploading the library folder from the vanilla zip file.
  • That did it! Thank you, I appreciate the same day help.
