Member privacy issue

edited July 2008 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
Our forum is in a "private beta", as in only a few of us use it and try it out, and we haven't distributed the address.
Only the Blog-page and an info-page is currently available to others than signed-in members. This is important to us as our group is very sensitive.

We have decided to go for the BlogThis ext to provide our news/updates feature.

The less-than-optimal result we just noticed is that in the blog-view, clicking the user name of the author bring you directly to this persons forum profile - even if this page is defined (using Page Management) to be visible to members/admins only.

To us, this is a very serious matter, and I am interested to know how I can counter this problem? Am I right to consider it a bug?

  • Thanks!

Found the add-on, downloaded, installed, and tested. Perfect result.

When not logged in, I stay at the blog when clicking a nick. Just what we need.
You're a life saver, timfire. Thanks again.
