How to add sub catagories and turn text area to accept HTML?

I have installed vanilla forum, wanted to make the following few changes. 1). How to add sub categories 2). How to add "preview post" 3). How to turn on Text Area to accept HTML (Eg: Format Comments as Text/Html) 4). I have installed extension for "preset avatars" but I don't see its functioning Please help Cheers, SL

    well, just search for it in the addon site, I think there's all you need there.
