Removing Personal Information from certain accounts

edited August 2008 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
Hello, We are setting up a forum and we would like to have a general user account set up called 'Guest' that people can log in to and leave comments without necessarily divulging their email, etc. However, the user email address can be changed as well as the password, etc. once they have logged in. Is there a way that we can disable this function just for this particular account?

You could use the guest post addon which will log users in and out while posting. I'm sure there used to be an extension around which stopped people from changing passwords on certain accounts but I cant see it at a glance so maybe I'm making it up. Have a dig around.
