Anyone know of good video tutorial?

Looking for educational video about the basics. Using FTP client properly, fixing directories, basic CSS tweaking and such. Seems like every time I try to install an extension or add-on I mess up some directory or something. This in turn goofs up my site and I'm clueless on how to fix it. Honestly I'm just stumbling through everything. I need some basic tutorials . Thanks in advance for any links!
