Email verification at registration

Hi, I have changed New Member Role to Member in Registration Settings. However, if possible, I'd like an email to be sent to the user with a link to verify that the email address they entered is valid. I was unable to find an add-on for this functionality, but I have may have just missed it. Is there anything similar to this? Thanks.
