Whisper box Username autofill?

Or whatever its called. There used to be a point where you could start typing peoples names into the whisper box and a list of names would come up that would begin with the letters you started typing in. How do I enable this feature? It used to work but doesn't anymore...

Thanks in advance.

Type in your browser an address like this: http://lussumo.com/community/ajax/getusers.php?Search=o but change the path to your site. It should return a list of users that start with the letter at the end. If it shows some kind of error message, then that's where we can start to look.

    I get the following...

    Not Found

The requested URL /community/ajax/getusers.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

re-upload your ajax folder, and repeat the test.

that didn't work. any other ideas?

could it be because i have almost 6k member?

after the ajax update, i can't sticky or delete threads?
  • Options
Actually, it looks like ajax is ok: http://lafixed.com/ajax/getusers.php?Search=o Its probably a javascript conflict. That could also cause a sticky/delete issue.

This URL returns a directory listing...

    http://lafixed.com/ajax/

You should really not allow this.

@Wanderer, how do you block it?

@WallPhone, the delete/sticky options went away after the Ajax update.

dumb question - where is the htaccess file?

edit - found it. but its blank???

No problem that is normal. Just put the code I gave you in it and it will block people from viewing your directories with their browser.
