Whisper to multiple folks?

Hey, can I whisper to several people at once? Just enter a couple names in there seperated by commas or something? Because I tried and it wouldn't let me type much more in there than one long name....

This has been discussed previously and at current is not available. If its not on the request list on the wiki you could add it. It would have to be either a complete rewrite of the whisper system or something different though due the the existing setup of 1-1 conversations.
  • Are whispers to multiple persons possible now?

    Thank you.

    EDIT:
You cannot whisper to multiple people at one time. (Documentaion)
  • If you want to message members of a certian role (i.e. moderators), you can however create a ctegory that only they can see.
  • Wallphone what if they reply, since i don't have access to the category, I won't be able to see their reply
  • Comma separated whispers would rock :) And the ability to just put a role name in to speak directly to that role, although I guess that should be limited to your permission level and lower or some other kind of restrictions?
  • Silly idea of the day: whisperlists... Like a mailing list, but consisting of a set of whisper IDs...
  • Some of my forum members think this would destroy the zeitgeist of the forum. Others think it's a great way to organize meetups (amongst London forum members who regularly get together to go drinking) without disturbing the rest of the forum. While I created a category for it, the flexibility of a multiple-whisper system would be really useful.
  • 8 posts in 4 hours.... not bad, if I could keep up 3-4 posts per day with 1 long/original one a week, I should get some decent traffic.
  • Whoops. Not just the wrong thread, the wrong forum!
