disappearing comments

can anyone help me with this...I don't know where to start looking... a couple of my forum members have reported comments vanishing. I'm guessing this could be something to do with one of the extensions I have installed? Is there anywhere I can view what comments have been saved other than on the discussions themselveS? any help would be much appreciated! adam
